HVAC Controls
Micro Design Solutions' background in HVAC controls was utilised in a project involving writing the control algorithm for a gas driven water heater. Control of a gas valve made this a safety critical application requiring the use of fail-safe coding techniques and the rigorous application of safety standards to ensure compliance of the finished product to various British and European standards.
MODBUS interface
MODBUS is a widely used protocol in industrial communications. We worked on a project to add this capability to a client's suite of products, using an embedded software algorithm to read the data from MODBUS-enabled devices and convert it to a format suitable for transmission over a wireless network.
